Our aim is to provide luxury accommodation in Wilderness in a relaxed setting that reflects the beauty of the Garden Route.

The Guest House opened in 1999 and has hosted visitors from all over the world. Situated within the boundaries of the Wilderness National Park and the Constantia Kloof Conservancy, Under the Boardwalk B&B Guest House offers a peaceful retreat from where to discover the treasures offered by Wilderness and the Garden Route.

Under the Boardwalk B&B Guest House takes its name and inspiration from the famous lagoon-side boardwalk at the Wilderness section of the Garden Route National Park – an inspiration carried through to the resort’s unique construction. The various rooms are linked with wooden walkways called Boardwalks.

The tranquility of the location and top-class facilities provide the perfect setting to relax. Cool-off in the Guest House crystal-blue swimming pool, spend an afternoon searching for the beautiful Knysna Loerie from the comfort of your private deck or stroll down to the village to visit the beach and local shops.

CHECK-IN & CHECK-OUT

Check-in time is from 2:00pm to 4:30pm.

Check-out time is before 10.00am

Late Arrivals: Should you plan to arrive after 4:30pm, please let us know at least 24hrs in advance, so we can make arrangements to receive you, tour operators must please arrange with the Guest House directly regarding any late arrivals.

SWIMMING POOL

All guests have access to the Guest Hose rim-flow swimming pool and entertainment area which is set in a lush landscaped garden and offers splendid sea views, even the occasional glimpse of whales or dolphins frolicking in the ocean. Children are to use the pool and entertainment area only under adult supervision.

STAIRS

Under the Boardwalk Guest House is built on a forested slope and access to rooms require climbing stairs. If you or members of your group or family have a problem climbing steps, please notify us when making a reservation, as we cannot guarantee alternative rooms on arrival. The Guest House is unfortunately not wheelchair friendly.

PORTERAGE SERVICE

Our porterage service is available to assist with carrying luggage between 8:00am to 4:30pm. At least 48 hours prior arrangements are to be made for late arrivals wanting assistance with luggage.

PARKING

Secure outside parking is available on the premises and access is controlled by a traffic boom. There is only one parking per room available. Special arrangements must be made for trailors, etc. as parking space is limited.

AIRPORT AND TRANSFERS

Transfers can be arranged through a third party service on request. 24 hour notice is required to make arrangements and availability cannot be guaranteed.

RECEPTION

Our reception hours are from 8:30am to 4:30pm daily. We do however move around in the Guest House from time to time so should you find the reception door closed please contact the number at reception.

PETS

As much as we love our pets they are unfortunately not allowed at the Guest House.

LOADSHEDDING

Please note that the Guest House is affected by loadshedding. We do provide emergency portable LED lights in the rooms. Back-up power during load shedding has been installed to some of our rooms – please check availability! All the restaurants down in the village have generators and operate as normal during times of load shedding.
